Post-Crushing Residue

Sugarcane bagasse is the fibrous residue left after juice extraction from Saccharum officinarum. Its lignocellulosic structure is relevant to composite and molded-material development where fibre architecture, density, thermal behaviour and surface character are defined according to the intended application.

PROCESSING NOTICE

Finished-material behaviour depends on fibre preparation, particle geometry, moisture condition, binder chemistry, consolidation method and formulation. Performance values should therefore be assigned to the specific OPUNÉ® material grade tested, not treated as inherent universal properties of sugarcane bagasse.

Sugarcane bagasse is produced after mechanical juice extraction during sugar processing. As a feedstock, it originates within an established agricultural and industrial production stream rather than from cultivation undertaken solely for composite material production.
