OPUNÉ® develops plant-based biomaterials from agricultural crop residues for packaging and accessory applications where surface material is specified as part of the finished construction.

A packaging material cannot be evaluated independently of the process used to convert it. Tooling, substrate, adhesive, folding geometry, and finishing operations alter the behaviour of the final assembly.

Assess base weight, caliper, surface energy, and visual quality against the agreed project specification. Record applicable lot or batch information where available.

Assess surface preparation requirements, including corona treatment or primer application where appropriate. Evaluate surface energy for adhesive or ink compatibility.

  • Non-abrasive contact requirement to be evaluated for the specified metal, finish, pressure, and use conditions

Secondary packaging functions as protection and brand presentation. Material selection involves converting constraints, handling conditions, and the geometry of the finished outer structure.
